Top & Emerging Women Investors in Latin America 2025

10 December 2025

Women remain underrepresented in senior investing roles in private capital globally. Recent data shows that women hold under one-fifth of top decision-making roles at VC firms, and as of early 2024, represent only ~22% of professionals in alternative assets worldwide. This persistent imbalance underscores the need for visible role models and transparent recognition, particularly in Latin America.

To help address this visibility gap, LAVCA has published an updated annual list of the Top Women Investors in Latin America, alongside our sixth annual list of Emerging Women Investors in Latin America.

This year’s Top Women Investors list features 223 senior-level women investment professionals across private capital in Latin America, as well as notable women angel investors who complete three or more investments per year across the region.

The Emerging Women Investors list recognizes 350 junior- and mid-level women investment professionals in the region’s private capital ecosystem.

Together, the 223 senior-level and 350 junior-level women included in the 2025 lists represent a 14% increase from 2024. This growth includes 71 additional women investors identified through LAVCA’s combined research methodology and through community support via the open nomination process.

Notably, seven women featured in last year’s Emerging Women list have since advanced to Partner or Partner-level roles and are now included among the Top Women Investors: Ana Laura Fernandez (The Yield Lab LatAm), Lorena Gonzalez (UNIK VC), Mariana Jimenez (Amplifica Capital), Nicole Martinho (Indicator Capital), Sofia Padilla (Redwood Ventures), Luisa Sucre (Sunna Ventures) and Rocio Wu (F-Prime Capital).

All nominees were thoroughly vetted by LAVCA prior to inclusion.
