In September 2023, IDC Network invested in Xochi, a Guatemala-based highway infrastructure project located in Corredor de las Flores, involving the design, construction, operation and long-term maintenance of an alternative route to Guatemala’s Central American Highway 2 (CA-2). Fondo BPS, a partnership between IDC Network and BCC Capital, led the project from concept through financing and construction, with full operations expected this year.
Since IDC Network’s investment, the Xochi project has advanced regional connectivity while supporting inclusive and sustainable economic development. During construction, the project directly employed an average of 1,240 workers, with approximately 66% hired from surrounding communities, and generated around 1,612 indirect jobs. In 2025, the project delivered approximately 305 training sessions focused on environmental management, social responsibility and occupational health and safety, and launched Emprendex, a program supporting local women entrepreneurs. To date, Xochi has invested ~USD260,000 in community development initiatives and local infrastructure improvements.
