In May 2019, Crescera Capital invested in BomConsórcio, a Brazil-based digital consortium marketplace that facilitates the sale of active or excluded consórcio quotas.
With Crescera’s support, the company expanded its digital marketing and sales strategies, increasing brand visibility and accelerating customer acquisition. It also partnered with consórcio administrators to broaden access to affordable credit, particularly for lower-income families. In 2024, the consórcio system had 11.2 million active members and disbursed nearly BRL17b (~USD3.1b), offering a lower-cost alternative to traditional loans. BomConsórcio helped establish a regulated and transparent secondary market, reducing fraud, increasing oversight and restoring trust in group-lending models. That year, the platform facilitated more than 129,000 quota transfers, representing approximately USD340m in credit receivables.
