Emanuel Hernandez
Director, Research
Emanuel Hernandez is Director of Research at LAVCA. In this role he heads the department’s data collection and the generation of products and services for LAVCA’s members and Latin America’s private capital community.
Prior to joining LAVCA, Emanuel was a Graduate Assistant at the School of Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University. He was awarded the Sergio Vieira de Mello Fellowship and served as a Research Fellow at the Latin American and Caribbean Unit of DCAF – the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance in Switzerland. He also served as a Research Assistant at Seton Hall University and completed internships with Caritas Internationalis and Shoulder to Shoulder Global.
Emanuel was born and raised in Colombia, but he moved to the U.S. to pursue his education supported by the International Ambassador Scholarship at the University of Kentucky. He has also studied abroad in Canada and China.
