LAVCA’s 2024 Latin American Startup Directory & Ecosystem Insights profiles the evolution of the VC ecosystem in Latin America, focusing primarily on mapping VC-backed startups in the region.
LAVCA Members can use our new interactive data portal to view, sort, and download historical transaction activity, including a directory of over 1,000 startups that have raised USD1m+ in venture funding since 2019. The portal provides details on startup headquarters, sector, founder profiles, and gender diversity, as well as information on women-led startups, repeat founders, rounds with CVC participation, and the most active investors by stage (seed, early-stage, late-stage) and type (fund managers, CVCs, family offices). Non-member can purchase access to the data.
This dynamic new edition of the directory is the most comprehensive yet, addressing the critical and unprecedented demand for additional startup financing.
Our second Ecosystem Insights report offers detailed metrics on the growth of Latin America’s startup ecosystem. It includes data on funding by stage, startups by country, round conversion rates, emerging tech hubs, and the most active investors, as well as an analysis of portfolio overlap among select VCs. The report also expands on historical metrics related to funding for women-led startups, repeat founders, and corporate investor participation in financing rounds.
