Workshop for Emerging VCs in Argentina

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Date: 16 May 2018
Hosted By: LAVCA

Building on the success of VC training programs in New York and Silicon Valley, LAVCA will host a Workshop for Emerging VCs in Buenos Aires

This half-day program is designed for first-and-second-time fund managers, new corporate ventures, heads of accelerators, and notable angel investors, and will focus on how early-stage investors can best prepare their portfolio companies to receive follow-on capital.

Brian Hutchings, a partner at Gunderson Dettmer working with many of the top VC funds and startups in the US and Latin America, will host a two-part legal deep-dive on a range of key topics including fund formation, considerations around company formation and legal structures, term sheet best practices, key issues in founder/early employee stock plans, key issues around Intellectual Property, and pitfalls to avoid.

LAVCA’s Workshop for Emerging VCs combines a conversational format with experience-based discussions. Participating investors are encouraged to bring specific questions and concerns they are currently working on, and plan to participate actively in the discussion. This program will be conducted in English.

LAVCA thanks Omidyar Network, Google, Facebook, Gunderson Dettmer, and Telefonica Open Future_ as well as host Digital House, and local association ARCAP, for their support to deliver practical training to Latin America’s emerging cohort of tech investors.

Participation is by invitation only. Qualified investors may contact Julie Ruvolo ([email protected]) to request an invitation.
