Sandra Sainz Sandra is the Founding and Managing Partner of Cantera Capital, an impact investment fund with a focus on deep tech startups that are solving important challenges faced by humanity. Sandra is also Managing Director at Sonen Capital.
She formerly held the position of Managing Partner at SV LATAM Fund, a VC fund focused on innovation companies with a scientific or technological base. Previously, she worked for 14 years at the IFC as Senior Investment Officer for the Mexico and Central American regions. Prior to her experience at the IFC, Sandra had credit analysis experience at JP Morgan, and at S&P Global. Sandra holds an MBA from the University of Texas in Austin and ITESM, graduate studies in Finance and Entrepreneurship from ITAM, and a bachelor’s degree in Public Accountant also from ITAM.
