Patricia Moraes

Unbox Capital, Founder and Managing Partner

As a founding partner, manager, and Investment Committee member at Unbox Capital, an equity growth investment firm, Patricia brings extensive experience in finance. She spent over 20 years in investment banking, including time on the Mergers & Acquisitions team at J.P. Morgan in both New York and São Paulo.
She later became the Head of Investment Banking and Corporate Banking for J.P. Morgan in Brazil, where she managed all relationships and transactions with Brazilian and multinational companies. Throughout her career, she has advised on strategic mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, along with capital-raising through debt financing and initial public offerings (IPOs).
Patricia serves as an independent director on the Board of Directors at Itaúsa S.A. Since May 2021, she has coordinated the Governance and People Committee and has also been a member of the Strategy and New Business Committee. She joined the Related Parties Committee in August 2021 and was a member of the Audit Committeefrom August 2022 to May 2023.
Patricia is a director of “Grupo Mulheres do Brasil” and has been recognized twice on the “Mulheres de Valor” list by Valor newspaper. She also serves on the boards of Columbia University in Brazil and Columbia Ventures in Brazil.
Patricia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from Columbia Business School (Class of 1995).
