Michelle joined Altum Capital after building a solid career in corporate finance and has over 22 years of experience across credit underwriting, portfolio management, and financial advisory in Latin America.
Michelle is one of the founding partners of Altum Capital, a group of senior secured private debt fund established in 2014 that currently manages almost USD 500 million of AUM, for which Michelle has served as credit director and portfolio manager, currently being responsible of several investment sectors such as consumer financial institutions, mortgage lending, consumer goods, health, education, TMT and oil and gas, as well as being responsible of the technology investments of the firm.

Before Altum, Michelle spent 11 years in UBS Mexico’s Corporate Finance Advisory Group within the private bank, advising SMEs and entrepreneurs across Mexico and Latin America in sectors such as manufacturing, distribution, transportation & logistics, healthcare, education, real estate, and media.

As Director of the Corporate Finance Advisory Group at UBS, Michelle led execution of M&A transactions (buy-side and sell-side), capital raises, succession planning mandates, valuation processes, and strategic alternatives assessments.
She began her career in UBS Casa de Bolsa’s equity research team, supporting coverage of financials, real estate, construction, and media companies across Latin America.

Michelle holds a BA in Economics with honors from ITAM and an MBA from Tecnológico de Monterrey and The University of Texas at Austin, where she received the prestigious Kostmetzky Award for academic excellence, as well as Honorable Mention and First Place at the graduate level from ITESM.
