Melissa Ramírez is a Managing Partner at IDC Network.
She founded IDC’s New Venture Debt Vertical and co-leads Valante’s (IDC PE arm) 2nd Private Equity fund. She is also an operational Board Member for IDC Ventures working on strategic initiatives on deal activity and capital networks. Based out of Miami, Melissa leads the US expansion for the IDC Network.
Before coming to IDC, Melissa spent more than 10 years in Citigroup in NY where she led the Consumer, Retail & Infrastructure Investment Banking franchise for Latin America. Melissa has extensive experience originating, structuring, and executing M&A and capital markets transactions totaling US$20+b. Her experience includes cross-border M&A, restructuring, SPACs, IPOs, and capital raising.
Melissa earned her degree in industrial engineering at Simón Bolivar University in Venezuela with Summa Cumlaude honors and later pursued her MBA degree at the Sloan School of Business (MIT), Boston. Melissa also focuses on giving back to her homeland through the New York-based charity she has co-founded, “For a Brighter Venezuela.”
