Flavia B. Almeida graduated in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – EAESP (1989) in Brazil. Flavia also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she graduated in 1994. She also took several executive programs at leading Universities, such as Harvard, Insead, Kellogg, among others.

Flavia is a Board Member of Public and Private Companies. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Península Participações, where she has worked for 11 years, and was CEO between 2019 and 2024. Peninsula is a single Family Office with AUM of over USD 3bn. Since 2019, Flavia has been an Independent Board Director of Ultrapar S.A., where she chairs the People Committee. Ultrapar is a leading oil and gas distribution and logistics group in Brazil, with revenues of more than USD 20bn per year. This year she also joined the Board of Iguatemi S.A., a leading mall and real estate company and the board of Rede Americas, the second largest hospital chain in Brazil. Since 2004 she has served on several Boards of Directors, in Brazil and abroad. Flavia was a Board Member of Groupe Carrefour (France) from 2017 through 2025. Flávia is the only person of Brazilian nationality who was on the Board of Overseers at Harvard University, in the USA. In 2023, she was elected by Bloomberg as one of the 50 Women of Impact from Latin America. As an executive, Flavia was a senior partner at Monitor Group from 2009 to 2013. Previously, from 2003 to 2009, she was Executive Director of Participações Morro Vermelho. Between 1989 and 2003, she worked at McKinsey & Company, where she was elected the first Brazilian female partner.

In addition to her work as a Business Administrator and Business Advisor, Flavia actively contributes to the development of Education and Culture through volunteering in several institutions. She is currently a volunteer Director of MASP (Art Museum of Sao Paulo) and a Counselor at Fundação Bienal. In 2024 Flavia was part of the B20 Brazil Council. Flavia is married and has two sons.
