Before anything else, I am the mother of Martín and Rafa and the wife of Felipe Uribe, my greatest sources of support and motivation in everything I do.
I am a Partner at Simma Capital and Head of Bios Ventures, where I lead our corporate venture capital fund and invest globally in technologies aligned with the core business areas of the group. My work focuses on advancing the company’s long-term innovation strategy by creating synergies with business units and identifying disruptive technologies that can transform operations and unlock new growth opportunities. To date, I have led investments in seven global startups.
I hold a Master’s degree in Marketing from the Universitat de Barcelona and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes.
Before joining Simma Capital, I spent several years at Ruta N, Medellín’s leading innovation agency, where I designed and implemented pioneering financing strategies to strengthen the local innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. My work included structuring venture capital funds in science, technology, and innovation; leading Corporate Venture Capital programs for more than 62 corporations; and supporting over 400 startups through acceleration, funding, and internationalization initiatives. These efforts contributed significantly to positioning Medellín as a regional innovation hub.
Additionally, I hold an equity stake in an electric vehicle startup where I previously worked, contributing to business development and fundraising efforts. This experience broadened my understanding of early-stage company growth and the challenges entrepreneurs face when scaling innovative technologies.
I am recognized for my ability to design strategic investment vehicles, attract meaningful capital, and build programs that empower entrepreneurs and corporations to innovate and scale. My career reflects a deep commitment to strengthening Latin America’s innovation ecosystem and advancing the role of women in venture capital and technology.
