Ana Laura Fernandez is the Managing Partner of The Ignition Fund in the Yield Lab Latam and Chair of the Board of the Alianza por la Inversion de Impacto Mexico, the National Partner of the GSG for Impact, a Global Network with representatives in more than 50 countries.

She has invested in 67 Funds in Mexico and Latin America and administrated the investment in more than 50 direct investments. Before the Yield Lab, Ana Laura was responsible in Fondo de Fondos for the Latam Impact Fund, a $71 MD Fund to invest in funds and direct investments in Latin America looking for opportunities that would generate a financial return for the investors and also a positive social or environmental impact.

Ana Laura had a key role in Nacional Financiera in the development of the Venture Capital Ecosystem in Mexico. In the year 2018 according to Amexcap figures there were 80 Seed and Venture Capital Funds in Mexico, and 56 had investments from Capital Emprendedor which was Ana Laura’s responsability, she had a seat with voice and no vote in the investment committee of this 56 funds.

She has been a pioneer in structuring programs for the development of the region, she did supply development, credit, guarantees, support for non banks and investment programs in her almost 20 years of experience in the Development Bank (Nacional Financiera) in Mexico.
