Qualcomm Ventures, Astella Investment and Farellones Capital Join LAVCA Board 

NEW YORK, 13 November 2023 – LAVCA, the Association for Private Capital Investment in Latin America, announced today that Carlos Kokron, Vice President and Managing Director at Qualcomm Ventures, Laura Mello de Andrea Constantini, Co-founder and Managing Director at Astella Investimentos and Dieter Hauser, CEO of Farellones Capital, joined the LAVCA board.  

Kokron leads Qualcomm Ventures’ investments and business development teams in the Americas and serves as a board director or observer at multiple AI and IoT companies. Prior to joining Qualcomm Ventures, he was responsible for Intel’s business with Service Providers in Latin America.  

Prior to co-founding Astella Investimentos in 2008, a Brazilian early-stage VC firm, Constantini held positions at Cicerone Capital. She is a pioneering woman in Venture Capital in Latin America and holds several board director roles in investments such as Cayena, Croct, Jota, Estoca, Traive and Destaxa.  

Hauser serves as the CEO of Farellones Capital, an investment manager born as a spin-off of Megeve Investments and the Family Office of the Solari Donaggio Family. Prior to his current role, Hauser held positions at Megeve Investments and was Chief Investment Officer of Penta Vida, a Chilean life insurance company.

Directors completing their terms are Susana Garcia Robles, Senior Partner at Capria Ventures and Flavia Almeida, CEO of Península Participações.
