LATAM Airlines Secures USD3.7b in Financing From J.P. Morgan and Qatar Airways Investments

LATAM Airlines secured USD3.7b financing from J.P. Morgan and Qatar Airways Investments. The financing will be used in part to repay funds lent by Oaktree Capital Management and Apollo Global Management.

Latam Airlines Group secured $3.7 billion financing from with JPMorgan Chase & Co., committing over $2 billion, and Qatar Airways Investments. The new debtor-in-possession financing will be used in part to repay funds lent by Oaktree Capital Management and Apollo Global Management.
LATAM is Latin America’s leading airline group, with presence in five domestic markets in South America: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, along with international operations within Latin America and to Europe, US and the Caribbean.
Carey advised Qatar Airways Investments with a team including Jaime Carey (Picture), Diego Peralta, Pablo Iacobelli, Cristián Figueroa, Manuel José Garcés, Jaime Coutts and Benjamín Echeverría.
