Ideiasnet Invests in Leading Online Vendor of Women’s Accessories in the Brazilian Market.

(IDEIASNET) October 23,2012 – Ideiasnet, a Brazilian venture capital company that invests in fast growing tech businesses, has acquired a stake in Amo Muito, a leading digital commerce player in the women’s accessories market in Brazil. Amo Muito provides nationwide access to a wide range of accessories including handbags, belts, earrings, scarves and t-shirts.

Amo Muito, a two year old company based in Rio de Janeiro, will use the investment to consolidate and grow its position as a provider of branded women’s accessories. Founded by a female entrepreneur, Amo Muito distinguishes itself from generalist retailers by providing exclusive access to branded accessories that are developed and produced under the Amo Muito label.

According to Amo Muito CEO, Vanessa Caldas, “The investment came at a very important time for the company. It will help us to structure and grow the business and enable us to take advantage of the opportunities in this booming marketplace. We are an important player in the accessories segment in the Brazilian market and with Ideiasnet we will expand our reach and invest for the future.”

Ideiasnet currently has investments in online payments (MoIP), ecommerce storefronts (CiaShop), online shopping (Zura) and the women’s portal (Bolsa de Mulher).

With this investment, the management team led by Sami Haddad (CEO), Everson Lopes (Managing Director) and Alexandra de Haan (Chief Financial Officer) furthers its commitment to a new phase in Ideiasnet’s history. Key to this strategy is an increased dynamism in the management of the portfolio with an emphasis on investing in fast growing Internet and technology companies while being attentive to liquidity opportunities.
