Argo Energia Acquires Quantum Assets from Brookfield for BRL4.3b

(Brazil Journal) Colombia-controlled energy transmission company Argo Energia acquired five transmission lines held by Brookfield Asset Management-owned Quantum for BRL4.3b (~USD831m). Patria Investments founded Argo Energia in 2016, and Temasek Holdings invested in the platform in 2017. The investors sold Argo to state-controlled companies Grupo Energía de Bogotá and Red Eléctrica de España for BRL3.4b (~USD865m) at a BRL6b (~USD1.5b) enterprise value in March 2020.
