(Dow Jones) Alta Ventures Mexico has invested $1.5 million in Ondore Inc ., a company developing social-media monitoring and analysis software.

Ondore, which has operations in San Francisco and Mexico City, plans use the funding to increase sales and marketing efforts in Latin America and the U.S. for its social-media-monitoring product, a news release from the firm said.
