Macarena is a seasoned venture capitalist with over twelve years of experience mentoring, investing in, and scaling startups. As general partner at Driven VC, a seed fund focused on commerce enablers and fintechs across LATAM, she supports founders scaling in Americas’ biggest markets: Mexico, Brazil and the United States. She previously led ChileGlobal Ventures’ Accelerator, earning it the title of No. 1 accelerator in Chile, supported 100-plus early-stage startups through a pre-seed fund, and oversaw four successful exits. She was also part of the core launch team of Mercado Pago, Mercado Libre’s fintech arm, and gained expertise in go-to-market and commercial strategies. She is also deeply engaged in women’s
investment networks, including WeInvest and Global Women in VC, where she works to encourage greater participation of women in the industry through investing, supporting
women-led startups, and promoting female representation on boards.
