SCL Energía Acquires 2 Chilean Solar Power Plants

Chilean private equity firm SCL Energía Activa acquired two solar power plants in Coquimbo, Chile. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SCL Energía Activa S.A. is a private equity firm specializing in growth capital investments. It seeks to invest in midsize companies and small and medium size plants or projects. The firm, led by Juan Alberto Fernández Dávila, Joaquín Cornejo Moya, Carlos Alfredo Fuentes Pérez, Eduardo Vicuña Baeza and José Bertrán Spichiger is based in Santiago.
Ecosolar Chile is engaged in Renewables energy project in Chile.
Prieto advised SCL Energía Activa S.A. with a team including Patricio Prieto (Picture) and Maite Larrañaga.
Carey represented Ecosolar Chile on the transaction with a team including José Miguel Bustamante, Manuel Jose Alcalde, Pablo Morales and Diego Ibarrola.
