Consuelo is the Founder & Managing Partner of SV LATAM Capital (SVLC) and a trailblazer in the Latin American startup community. Consuelo is the first Mexican woman to establish an Early-Stage VC firm in Mexico and Silicon Valley. Her accomplishments as a venture investor have earned her a spot on the 100 Most Influential Latinas List in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Consuelo is a serial entrepreneur turned VC, and her immersive science background ignites her passion for bridging science, technology and business. Consuelo obtained her BS from the University of Miami, where she was distinguished with the ‘Special Commendation Award’ and ‘Who’s Who Among American Universities and Colleges.’ Consuelo went on to earn an MSc in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey with honors and an MSc in Science Entrepreneurship with Merit from Cass Business School in London. A Ph.D. dropout, she completed a year of graduate studies in Genomics. Consuelo is also a Kauffman Fellow.
