Linzor Capital Partners Acquires Onest Colombia

(Press Release) Linzor Capital Partners (www.linzorcapital.com) has bought a majority stake in Onest Colombia, partnering with the Company’s management team. Onest Colombia is a leading specialty credit company focused on payroll loans to public sector employees and financing of public vehicles. Linzor’s resources were used to buy a secondary stake in the business and strengthen the capital base of the Company with an equity contribution of approximately US$40 million.

Onest has over 20,000 clients throughout the country and an origination capacity of over US$125 million per year. With Linzor as partner, the Company will have a more solid capital structure, enabling it to grow and improve its credit offering in specialty segments.

Onest was advised by the investment bank Landmark Capital and the law firm Garrigues. Linzor’s legal advisor was Gómez-Pinzón Zuleta.

This is Linzor’s third investment in Colombia, preceded by the acquisition of Colfondos in 2011. Linzor currently manages three private equity funds: LCP I with commitments of US$181.5 million, LCP II with US$465 million, and LCP III with US$621 million, which closed earlier this year.
