Lanx Capital Leads R$13.5m Round in Brazilian Agricultural Marketplace Grão Direto

Brazil-based private equity firm Lanx Capital led a R$13.5m round in Grão Direto, a Brazilian agricultural commodity marketplace that primarily execute transactions via mobile and WhatsApp, with participation from Barn Investimentos, Bayer, and Grupo Rendimento. Grão Direto was Monsanto Growth Ventures’ inaugural investment in Brazil in 2018.
(Valor Econômico) – The digital platform for agricultural commodities trade Grao Direto has just raised R$13.5 million, the largest investment in a platform of this kind ever in Latin America. The round was led by Sao Paulo-based private equity firm Lanx Capital. Barn Investimentos, Bayer (via Leaps by Bayer), and the investment arm of Grupo Rendimento, in addition to individual investors, also participated.
