Jaguar Growth Holds Final Close on First Real Estate Fund

9 January 2017

New York-based investment management firm, Jaguar Growth Partners, closed its first Latin America focused real estate fund Jaguar Real Estate Partners I, which is expected to total US$350m.

(Press Release) Jaguar Growth Partners (Jaguar), a privately-held investment management firm focused on global growth markets, today announced the final close of its first real estate private equity fund. Jaguar Real Estate Partners I LP (JREP) successfully closed discretionary capital fundraising with final AUM (including pending non-discretionary commitments) expected to total $350 million. Investing opportunistically in real estate-related operating platforms and companies, JREP is focused on the most compelling markets in Latin America including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and the Andes Region.

“We are privileged to have an outstanding group of institutional partners empowering Jaguar to capitalize on a broad range of growth and value investment opportunities throughout Latin America,” said Gary Garrabrant, Jaguar Managing Partner.

“Our partner-centric approach and nearly 100 years of collective experience distinguish Jaguar in growth markets globally, particularly in Latin America with our presence on the ground,” said Thomas McDonald, Jaguar Managing Partner. “Emerging markets are complex and demand thoughtful analysis and navigation, enhanced by active collaboration with our local operating partners.”

Over the past year Jaguar has committed in excess of $200 million of discretionary and non-discretionary equity capital in several portfolio companies including LatAm Logistic Properties and Brazilian retail property company Aliansce, and, most recently, Brazilian AEL home builder, Tenda.
