(Brasil Economico) June 1, 2011 –  Equifax do Brasil has merged with Boa Vista Serviços, a portfolio company of Brazil-based prviate equity firm TMG Capital. The aim of the merger is to provide a greater platform for both individual and corporate credit services.

TMG Capital will maintain a 20% control of the merged company, and Equifax, the parent company of Equifax Brazil will keep a 15% stake.

TMG acquired a 25% share at Boa Vista Serviços S.A. last October 2010, with an option to buy an  additional 10% in 2012, with full management rights. The recent absortion of Equifax Brazil resulted in a slight reduction in the participation without any change in TMG’s management rights and maintaining the option above. Equifax International received a 15% participation in Boa Vista, which remains with the ACSP (São Paulo Merchants Association) as the controlling shareholder.
