Enfoca’s Grupo Aúna Acquires a 97.3% Stake in Promotora Médica Las Américas

Enfoca’s portfolio company Grupo Aúna has acquired a 97.3% stake in Promotora Médicas Las Américas, a holding company of the healthcare group Grupo Las Américas.
(Global Legal Chronicle) Grupo Aúna in Colombia (“Auna”), controlled by the Peruvian private equity fund Enfoca, executed the acquisition of a 97.3% stake in Promotora Médica Las Americas, the holding company of Grupo Las Americas which owns several health sector companies.
Grupo AUNA owns and operates medical clinics and hospitals in Peru. Grupo AUNA was formerly known as Grupo Salud del Perú SAC. The company was founded in 2008 and is based in Lima, Peru.
Closing took place on December 27, 2018 after the Superintendence of Health authorized the acquisition.
In Colombia, Posse Herrera Ruiz advised Aúna with Jaime Cubillos (Picture), Juliana Castaño and Juliana Zuñiga. The financing team was lead by Mariana Posse, Jesus Albarrán and Andrés Herrera.
In US, Sullivan & Cromwell advised Aúna with Sergio J. Galvis, Werner F. Ahlers, Joaquin Perez Alati, Natalie J. Vesti and Virginia H. Cueva.
In Perù, Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano advised Aúna with Eduardo López, Rafael Villarán, and Alejandro Araujo.
Brigard Urrutia advised the Sellers with Darío Laguado and Laura Ribero.
