Chilean Inder Adds Velarde

(peHUB) November 28, 2011 – Inder, a Santiago Chile based privately owned Investment Group, has appointed Roberto Velarde as Managing Director. Mr. Velarde’s position was created to explore investment opportunities in the Andean region, with a specific focus on Chile, Peru and Colombia.

Prior to joining Inder, Mr. Velarde was a Managing Director at North America Capital Partners, a strategic and financial advisory, and private equity investment management firm focused on middle market companies in Latin America. Previously, Mr. Velarde spent ten years with J.P. Morgan Chase & Co in New York, Buenos Aires and Mexico City. He was a founding and senior member of J.P. Morgan Partners, managing a $700MM Latin America, LP regional fund and JP Morgan Chase’s proprietary, private equity investment portfolio in Latin America.

Mr. Velarde, who was based in Colombia, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Northwestern University in Economics.

He is also a board member of Endeavor Chile and several other institutions. José Luis del Rio holds an industrial engineering degree from Catholic University of Chile and a Master of Arts in Operations Research from Lancaster University in England.
