Brookfield Acquires Brazilian Solar Complex from Spain’s Solatio for R$3b (em português)

Brookfield has agreed to acquire a 1,000 MW solar complex in Brazil from Spanish multinational Solatio for R$3b. This investment is part of Brookfield’s plan to invest between R$4b and R$4.5b to raise its solar energy capacity in the country.
(Valor Econômico) Em plena crise gerada pela pandemia de covid-19, o fundo canadense Brookfield está investindo de R$ 4 bilhões a R$ 4,5 bilhões em energia fotovoltaica no Brasil. Até 2023, a fonte solar deverá alcançar 1,5 mil megawatts (MW) de potência e praticamente igualar a capacidade instalada de outros ativos da Brookfield em energias renováveis no país – usinas eólicas ou de biomassa, hidrelétricas de maior porte e pequenas centrais (PCHs).
