Brazil’s Gávea Investimentos Nears Final Closing for Fund V

(Private Equity International) Gávea Investimentos, a Brazilian private equity firm, is nearing a final close for its fifth fund, which is targeting between US$1b and US$1.5b, according to Private Equity International. Limited partners will include the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System. Gávea currently is investing out of a US$1.9b fund raised in 2011, and is 55%-owned by Highbridge Capital Management, an alternatives unit of J.P.
