Bow Private Equity Announces Operations in Argentina

(Bow Private Equity Investors) September 2011 – Bow private equity investors (Bow) announced the start of its operations in Argentina. Bow is an independent private equity firm focused on investments in small to medium size companies, targeting investments of up to USD$20M. The firm will initially target opportunities in Argentina and Uruguay. 

Bow invests in profitable companies that have attractive positions in their niche markets and are looking for liquidity or capital to support the growth of the business in international markets.

Bow’s managing partners bring both local and international experience, having worked in private equity and management consulting. Ward Bouwers (Managing Partner) is a Dutch economist with more than ten years experience in private equity in the Netherlands in all stages of the economic cycle.  He acquired most of his private equity experience working for Halder (currently GIMV) in The Hague, The Netherlands as an Investment Manager and as a Managing Director.

Diego Ros Rooney (Managing Partner) is an Argentinean engineer with a background in international management consulting, working as a consultant in Arthur D. Little’s Buenos Aires office for four years. He worked on projects with a focus in the areas of due diligence, company valuation, strategy development and investment feasibility studies.

Bow establishes an innovative fund structure where its investors make their investment commitments for a two year period. In addition, Bow will offer selected investors the opportunity to participate on a deal-by-deal basis. Bow only works with reputable and committed investors with a long-term investment horizon.
