Teka Capital Reaches $104M During First Closing of Debut Fund

(Teka Capital) March 9, 2011 – Teka Capital held the first close of its debut fund in December 2010 with close to US$104 million in total capital commitments. The fund is looking to raise a similar amount from international LPs with the aim to hold a second close prior to the end of April 2011 and an additional close before the end of June 2011.
The current investor base includes Colombia’s three largest pension funds, the Santo Domingo family of Colombia and other families from the region and Europe. The fund is currently operational and will start deploying capital throughout the course of the year into mid-size companies in Colombia and Brazil.
