Grupo ECOS and Pragma Patrimonio Invest in Brazilian Solar Company

(Grupo ECOS) March 2, 2011 – Grupo ECOS and Pragma Patrimonio, both clean energy investors in Latin America, announced that they had invested an undisclosed amount, each taking a 28% stake in EBES, a leading Brazilian downstream solar systems integrator.

EBES is a private Corporation that specializes in the design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of high quality photovoltaic (PV) systems in all ranges of size and utilization. The Company was founded by well known figures in the Brazilian PV business including Eduardo Bomeisel, a renowned solar engineer responsible for designing different solar automobiles that have represented Brazil in several international competitions. Jointly, the entrepreneurs have decades of accumulated solar energy experience that has innovated the utilization of PV in Brazil in rural off-grid areas and in the urban building integrated photovoltaics market. Its operational headquarters are located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
