FUNCEF Debuts New Investment Model in Private Equity

(Reuters) Unlike the policy adopted historically by Brazilian foundations, Funcef – employees of Caixa Economica Federal, decided to participate in private equity even when the operation is not controlled by an investment committee.
The new strategy will be applied in a private equity fund by Caixa and Banco Espírito Santo, which will capture about BR$ 1.5 billion by the end of October, in which the Funcef will contribute R$ 100 million. The fund will be invested in infrastructure companies.
