Promecap Secures US$200M CKD

(CNNExpansion.com) August 5, 2010 – Promecap, a Mexican private equity fund founded by Fernando Chico Pardo, has raised 2.5m MXP (about US$200M) through a certificado de capital de desarrollo (CKD).
The resources will be administered by Promecap with a focus on debt and equity investments. The CKD has a 10 year maturity, but can be extended for two additional years if approved. Most of the funds were raised from the AFORES, but other institutional investors also participated. Chico Pardo will serve as co-investor, contributing up to 15% of each investment.
