Grupo Cerradinho Sells Casadoce to Foreign Investors

(Jornal Cana) July 20, 2010 – Grupo Cerradinho has announced the sale of Casadoce Industria e Comercio S.A. to Alothon Group, a private equity firm focused on investments in Brazil with offices in New York and Sao Paulo.
The sale, according to Grupo Cerradinho, is part of a strategy to reposition its activities and concentration on the energy sector through the production of sugar and ethanol.
Casadoce has annual revenues of BRL$90 m and around 200 employees. It specializes in the production and commercialization of powdered beverages and desserts.
The finalization of the sale of Casadoce is subject to the completion of due diligence.
