Actis Nearing First Close of Long-Life Infrastructure Fund

Actis is reportedly nearing a first close of its Actis Long Life Infrastructure LP, a new long-term infrastructure focused fund that will invest in power-generating assets across Latin America, India, Southeast Asia and Africa.
(PE News) Actis is nearing an official first close of its new power-infrastructure fund, as the firm places a long-term bet on Latin America and other developing economies with rising energy needs.
The London emerging-markets investor is targeting $2billion for the fund, said people familiar with the matter. It could reach the official first close in April or May, one of the people said.
