CDPQ’s Ancar Ivanhoe Acquires Natal Shopping Center from BR Malls (em português)

Ancar Ivanhoe, a shopping center platform in Brazil that belongs to Ivanhoe Cambridge, CDPQ’s real estate investment arm, has acquired SPE Mônaco, which owns the Natal Shopping Center.

(Exame) A Superintendência-Geral do Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica (Cade) aprovou sem restrições a aquisição pelo grupo Ancar Ivanhoe de uma fatia de 50 por cento da SPE Mônaco detida atualmente pela BR Malls, segundo despacho publicado no Diário Oficial da União desta quarta-feira.

Com a operação, a Ancar Ivanhoe, que atua no mercado de participação, desenvolvimento e prestação de serviços de administração de shopping centers, passará a deter 100 por cento da SPE Mônaco, que é detentora do Natal Shopping.

Conforme parecer no site do Cade, não há “efeitos de ordem concorrencial relevantes” na transação, o Natal Shopping Center representa menos de 1 por cento do mercado nacional e as requerentes não possuem outros empreendimentos do tipo na cidade.

“Portanto, a presente operação não tem o condão de alterar as condições concorrenciais nessa atividade”, avaliou a autarquia.
