The Latin American Venture Capital Association hosted the first Chile Private Equity & Venture Capital Forum on May 26, 2010 in Santiago de Chile. Due to its business-friendly environment, strong economy and transparency, Chile is becoming a regional platform for private equity investments. It has ranked at the top of LAVCA’s Scorecard for the past five years.

Keynote speakers Stephen A. Schwarzman, Chairman, CEO & Co-Founder of the Blackstone Group and G. Steven Burrill, Chief Executive Officer of Burrill & Company, addressed over 150 leading investors and fund managers, discussing the region’s private equity and venture capital potential respectively.
